My weekend sucked, my weekend sucked, my weekend sucked because…

Well, I think this past week/weekend was the worst I’ve had in a long time. During the week leading to the weekend, my dad broke his foot, and while driving, a MARTA bus hit my mom. Friday was fairly uneventful, and then it went downhill. Amanda was able to get me a ticket to the football game, which was really sweet (THANKS AMANDA!!). Unfortunately, after standing up for 4 hours tailgating, 4 more at the game, and then waiting 3 more for game traffic to let up, we left, disappointed at the loss. Sunday I went with my family to the Decatur Book Festival, and then coming home, my Grandma, who is in town for the weekend, gets a call that her best friend back home died that morning. Damper on the day. I went back home in the evening, and was planning on going to a party, and managed to get in a car accident (see details in previous post). The guy I hit consistently called me Monday because I said I’d call him. He had asked me the day before if I wanted to pay out of pocket, or have insurance cover it, and I had said I would get back to him Monday (it was already past midnight when we were having this discussion anyway). Apparently, me calling him includes him dialing my number multiple times throughout the day. But since I had family over, I couldn’t get back to him until the evening. I called him to tell him to get an estimate, and if I could afford it, I may opt to pay for it myself to avoid the increase in my insurance cost. Well, he continued to ask me “how much is your limit?” I said, well, I am not sure. I will have to make that decision when I see how much it is (since obviously, if the cost to fix his car is a lot, then I will have insurance cover it regardless). Well, then he says “well, is $1000 too much? What is your limit. I again said, I didn’t know - To get a quote. After all this, he says “well, it doesn’t matter anyway since I already reported it this morning to State Farm. WTF??? Why the hell was he asking me all those questions and calling me all day if he Friggin’ ALREADY REPORTED IT??!!! I guess it doesn’t really matter that he reported it since I’d probably end up doing that anyway, but really, why be an ass about it??? There were a few smaller things this weekend that just added to the misery, but I’ll leave you hanging on those.

Poor Lisa, she had a great weekend and wanted to tell me about it, and I was such a sourpuss about it. I told her that hers must’ve been the one to balance mine out. I’m glad at least someone had a good weekend.

Wow... Hopefully this bad luck overload will mean good luck spread out over the rest of the month (or that bad karma will now be passed on to that jerk driver.) I'm sorry to hear that you and your parents had accidents this past week, but am glad that they weren't more serious than they are. Yipes.
You need something nice. Want to come over for dinner? I can bake :)

If the jerk driver is an IE at Tech, you should should see if he has any of your old professors and see if they can help you with some failing grades. A semester at Tech is probably a whole lot more expensive than a car door...

Look on the bright side - at least we didn't have to chase Daisy today!

Oh no Bela! You did have a bad week/weekend. I knew about your dad's foot and here i was saying the wedding was fabulous. A good thing i didnt go into detail and possibly unintentionally rub your bad time in.

Also, I know how a bad week can feel, my family had that in July with a knocked out Jeep window, a speeding ticket, and a big jolt of a hit (thankfully no damage to me) all in the span of less than 24 hrs!!!

I hope this weekend is better!!!!!!!
