No more people in my house! (at least for a day)

Friday night I made Arroz con Pollo for the first time. A Cuban themed potluck Shabbat dinner. We had black beans, plantains, mojo fish, and “Cuban” kugel. The Arroz con Pollo turned out surprisingly well, and I was going to post a picture of it, but apparently Moshe didn’t take a picture when I thought he was going to =(. There were a total of 13 people over for dinner, and although the crowd was a little different than the usual Shabbat crowd, eventually everyone warmed up to each other and hopefully had a nice time.

Speaking of hosting, Saturday we celebrated my little sister’s 21st birthday. She didn’t want to go out on the town, so instead I hosted about 20 of her friends over. Surprisingly, her UGA buddies didn’t drink that much! I thought that was their extracurricular hobby up there, but I guess since they all had to drive back to Athens or home, they couldn’t drink too much. It was still fun though.

…and some more hosting – Sunday morning I had my family over for Mother’s day brunch. We had omelets, homemade bread, fruit salad, and potatoes. I think my mom enjoyed it, and then I had the rest of the afternoon to resuscitate my house from the destruction that is caused by hosting too many things in one weekend =)

Moshe didn't want to take a picture with his shiny new camera? What's the matter with him? (On second thought, don't answer that)

Everything was yummy as usual :) At some point, George and I can host a shabbat potluck too, though we may have to borrow some people from your list o' hebrews :P
