Prep work for Thailand/Renovation

I have realized that over the past few months, my blog entries have dwindled significantly in comparison to the last fiver years. I guess I have kept myself so busy, I haven't made time to write. However, with my trip to Thailand next week, there will be a sudden influx of blog entries, so don't you worry :-)

Ever since ATLX, I have spent my time doing two things: Thailand Prep and Bathroom Prep. I am having a contractor redo my bathroom while I'm in Thailand, and hopefully that means there will be very few days where I can not use my bathroom because of construction. It seems like a good idea now. Let's just hope nothing goes horribly wrong. I will take pictures as much as possible and show the progress. Currently my bathroom is divided in half. the entry and vanity are essentially IN my room, and they're seperated by a wall to the shower and toilet. The plan is as follows:
Tear down wall and door between shower/toilet and vanity.
Remove Shower
Remove linolium flooring
Remove carpet in the entryway/vanity area
Install Bathtub
Tile the floor
Tile the bathtub walls
Replace toilet
Replace vanity top with granite top
Add wall on the end of the bathtub
Add a French door between bedroom and bathroom
Enjoy a hot bubble bath in my new bathtub.

While that is happening, I, along with my friend DZ and sister Leah, will be tourists in Thailand. We're spending a total of 18 days away from home, and traveling all over the country. I'll try to post a travel blog as I usually do (Argentina, Europe), although I am not bringing my laptop, so I'll be at the mercy of the internet cafes.

In other news, our wonderful governor, Sonny Perdue has apparently passed some sort of department of revenue regulation that does not allow breweries to serve beer on Sundays anymore. Not only does that pretty much suck in general, it means our monthly drinking dances that we were holding at the Atlanta Brewing Co. now can not happen anymore :-( That's sad because a lot of people really liked that dance for both the venue, atmosphere, and music. Hopefully we can have something else there in the near future.

and lastly, but certainly not least(ly), my lil sister Leah graduates from UGA this weekend! she's the last of us, but she decided to stay in school longer, and go to grad school at GSU. She is a double major in piano and in violin at UGA, and will continue pursuing her violin studies at GSU. Congrats Leah!
