It's amazing how every day, when something funny/interesting happens, I think - hey, i should put that on my blog next time I post. The problem arises when I don't blog for 10 days, I don't remember a single one of those things.
I have been quite the social butterfly over the last couple weeks. I got meals with a few different friends who I haven't seen in a while, one of whom I haven't really caught up with since we graduated. It's nice seeing what people are up to now that they've joined the real world.
This weekend, Josh came to visit since I was having a b-day party, he figured it'd be a good excuse to come up and come to the party and have a chance to go to Turner Field - pursuing his quest of attending a game at every major league ballpark. It was nice to see him, and all the obstacles in my mind from 6 months ago came rushing back to the forefront of my mind. How is it that such a great guy has so many things in the way of being OK to date?
we got to go to dinner Friday, and then out for Leah A.'s b-day. Then saturday we went to DZ's to watch GT cream Virginia Tech. That was good, except for some of the ridiculous calls made by the refs in favor of VT. We could've had a bigger spread, but oh well. Then, Saturday night, I hosted a party in honor of my b-day (yes, I threw a b-day party for myself), and it was a ton of fun. The theme to this one was - uniforms. almost everyone got into it and came dressed up!
Then Sunday Josh and I went to the Braves game to fulfill his Turner Field requirement, and Josh decided to get some really good seats!! so we sat in the lower deck, right behind home. I think they were the best seats I'd ever had at a braves game. They come down there and take your order and then bring you food. rockin'!
Unfortunately, Josh had to go back to pensacola, and I had to go to the 'rents to begin Yom Kippur. I guess it's a good time for atonement. The fast went by really easily. I spent the afternoon at my parents' house with friends between the two shul services, and played scrabble.
This week, I have continued working down at the airport, and we are near finished with the project. Hopefully they'll enjoy our presentation next week, and they'll hire us again when tehy have another project. I liked this project a lot.
I hate posting these types of "catch you up" posts, but I feel like I owe it to you. Now that I'll be in the office more, I'll get home earlier and have more chances to compose entries, hopefully.
