Unwelcome visitors

I rarely see live bugs in my house. Unfortunately, somehow I have an infestation of dead ones, especially now, during the summer. I am not sure where they come in from, but the lower level entryway and the storage room always has a random beetle or bug or roach, with their legs facing heaven.

Well, every couple days, I sweep away a few, throw them away, and move on. Well, I was gone this past week, and rarely sweep the storage basement. So tonight I decided that while I was getting some laundry done, I'd sweep up the recently disceased.

It was disgusting. The following picture is not for the weak stomached, so do not scroll down if you don't want to see what I swept up. You can see there was almost no dust on the floor of my whole basement. But there were over 40 bugs. I get a little jittery thinking about the instance when I heard a crunch under my shoe, and realized I'd hit number 41.

Click the picture to see the details of the bugs...up close and personal.
